Turnip with sour cream


Easy to cook, easy to eat



* a few turnips
* butter
* milk
* flour
* salt, pepper
* lemon juice
* sour cream
* parsely
* grated cheese


Boil and strain the turnips. During the boiling, prepare the white sauce: melt two spoons butter, add 2 spoons flour, milk and some broth if needed. Stir continuously. Butter a pan, put in the boiled turnips and pour the white sauce. Cook for 10 to 15 minutes. Add chopped chives, salt and pepper to taste. When done sprinkle grated cheese and finelly chopped parsely. Serve hot with sour cream. Optionally you can add some lemon juice.
