Ingredients:

* 2 plump juicy but firm tomatoes
* 1 big onion
* salt
* 1/2 teaspoon sweet black pepper
* 1/2 teaspoon hot black pepper
* olive oil
* 1 lemon

Preparation:

Wash and chop into small cubes (like 1 cm2) the tomatoes. Peel, wash and keep in cold water the onion for 5 minutes. Chop it also into small cubes and rub it with salt and the mixed peppers. Pour the onions over the tomatoes, the add lemon juice (from one entire lemon), olive oil to taste. Mix gently and serve with roasts or all kinds of meat. This salad is not Romanian, I first ate it in Lebanon and is an invention of Mama Chemali.
