A delicious fish dish that we tried in the Danube Delta.

Ingredients:

* 1 kg of fish cut into large pieces
* a fistful of salt
* a piece of metal to grill the fish on the wood (or simply a frying pan and a cooking machine will do)
* oil
* savory
* pepper

Preparation:

Generously sprinkle the salt in the frying pan and place the fish on it. Let it cook without oil until done. Place the fish into a sauce pan, sprinkle some savory, add some water, pepper and oil and bring it to boil. Optional you can add a spoonful of vinegar.

Add some finelly chopped parsley and serve with garlic sauce and hot polenta. Wash it down with white wine. Some people also add a couple of fried and squashed tomatoes and some bell peppers to the sauce.
