Turta Dulce

Good with tea, coffee and wine

Ingredients:
* 500 g bee honey
* 500 g sugar
* 200 g walnuts (cut into pieces)
* 100 ml rum
* 1 teaspoon bicarbonate
* 4 eggs
* 1 kg flour
* 1 tip teaspoon black pepper
* 3 teaspoons cinnamon
* clove, nutmeg
* 50 g butter

Preparation:

Turkish Delight Cake

This is a very simple and delicious desert

Ingredients:
* 2 eggs
* 280 gr flour
* 150 gr oil
* 150 ml milk
* baking powder
* 4-5 pieces of Turkish delight
* 1/2 glass of nuts mixed with raisins and sugar-coated orange peel

Preparation:
Mix the eggs with the sugar until they fluffy a bit. Add the oil and milk gradually, then the baking powder, the flour and the nuts, raisins.

Very simple, tasty and healthy

Ingredients
* 125 gr. flour
* 125 gr. margarine
* 125 gr. sugar
* 125 gr. raisins
* 1-2 spoons rum

* 3-4 tablespoons oil
* 3-4 tablespoons sugar

Ingredients:
* 1 kg flour
* 30 g yeast
* 1 cup milk
* 3 eggs
* 2 tablespoons oil
* 1 tablespoon lard
* 1 teaspoon sugar, salt
* cottage cheese (to taste)
* egg for washing the dough, flour for the pan

Pie with sweet soft cheese and raisins

This is an excellent and very easy to make pie

For the dough: you either buy a package of milfoils (is a special strudel dough) or you make it yourself in the house and here is the recipe for the dough:

Pasca

This is a traditional Easter cookie

Dough: 500 g cozonac dough (check out the cozonac recipe), 50 g butter to lubricate the griddle

Filling: 500 g sweet cottage cheese (double creme), 1 glass sugar, 2 spoons flour, salt, 2 spoons raisins, 4 eggs (one for ointment), 2 spoons butter, 1 glass milk, cinamon (nutmeg), sugared-vanilla, lemon peeling.

Papanasi

Little islands of sweet cottage cheese, caressed by melted butter

Ingredients:
* 2 eggs
* 2 spoons butter
* 300 g sweet cottage cheese
* 3 spoons semolina
* 1 spoon flour
* salt
* bread crumbs

Preparation:

Pancakes with jam

Very easy and very tasty

Ingredients:

Pancakes: 100 gr flour, 1 spoon oil, 3 eggs, salt, 300 ml milk. Mix them all and fry the regular pancakes.

Filling: 1 jar of jam. Fill and roll the pancakes when are still hot. Sprinkle some iced sugar on top.

Pancakes with chocolate and bananas

Oh, my God! These are so delicious!

Ingredients:

Pancakes: 100 gr flour, 1 spoon oil, 3 eggs, salt, 300 ml milk. Mix them all and fry the regular pancakes.

Filling: 1 jar of chocolate spread. Spread some chocolate on the pancakes. Chop in rounds slices some bananas. Place the bananas in the diameter on the chocolated-pancakes. Roll the pancakes and sprinkle some iced sugar on top.

Pancakes filled with soft cottage cheese and dill

Once you taste these, you will never want anything else

Ingredients:

Pancakes: 100 gr flour, 1 spoon oil, 3 eggs, salt, 300 ml milk. Mix them all and fry the regular pancakes a bit thicker.

Filling: 250 gr soft cottage cheese, salt, 3 spoons chopped dill. Mix the cheese, salt, dill until obtain a paste. Fill and roll the pancakes when are still hot. Place them in the oven for 5 minutes. Serve hot with sour-cream.

National Pie

A Romanian national pride

Dough: 1 kg flour, 3 eggs, 1 teaspoon salt, warm water, 400 g butter, 3 spoons oil (or buy ready made pie layers)

Mix everything and beat it well. Divide in 16 or 24 pieces and leave them in a warm place.

Filling: 6 spoons sugar, 100 g raisins, salt, 250 ml sour cream, 1 kg sweet cheese paste (sweet cottage cheese), 1 spoon semolina, lemon peeling, cinamon, 6 eggs.

Morello cherry cake

An excellent and incredible simple desert with Morello cherries

Ingredients:
* 2 eggs,
* 1 glass sugar (250 gr)
* 1/2 glass oil (125 ml)
* 1/2 glass milk (125 ml)
* 2 glasses flour (500 gr)
* one sachet of sugared-vanilla
* 1 spoon of baking powder
* 1 kg of morello cherries or one jar (300 gr) of morello cherries jam


Preparation:

Mix all the ingredients together with no order or discrimination. Add on top the morello cherries (seedless) from jam. Let it bake on a medium fire for 35-40 minutes.

Little horns with Turkish delight or jam

Easy and tasty

Ingredients:

The dough: 800 g flour; 600 g margarine; 10 tablespoons boiling water + 5 tablespoons white vinegar; pinch of salt + 10 g baking powder; 15 g lemon rind, grated, 1 g vanilin

The filling: 250 g chopped walnuts, 250 g jelly/ preserves; 10 g rum essence; 120 g confectioner's sugar; 200 g plain Turkish delight (or jam)

Decoration: 200 g confectioner's sugar

Preparation:

Halva

Very simple sweet

Ingredients:

* 1 mug sugar
* 3/4 mug flour
* vanilla, cinamon
* 1 mug water
* 2 spoons butter

Preparation:

Make a syrop from sugar, water and spices. Fry the flour in butter and add the syrop. Leave on a small fire unti thickens, optional you can add cocoa, dry fruits, nuts, sun flour seeds (peeled).

This is an original Turkish and Arabic desert. However, in Lebanon or other Arab countries there is a special Halawa root that is used to make this sweet.
