Description: Although they cover a small area, they consist in spectacular relief forms, most of them having their own legend and being a mark for beauty and grandeur. They have a very deep religious meaning for the Moldavians, reflected in their toponymy, being considered sacred mountains.
Location: This massif is situated in the central part of the Eastern Carpathians, whose limits are given by deep and large valleys, in east there are Stanisoarei Mountains, in north Bistrita Mountains, in south Tarcau Mountains, and in east Hasmas Mountains.
