Description: This mountains are only 1.840 m high, but what makes them remarkable are the karst landforms (caves, gorges, surface hollows, waterfalls etc.) which turn them in a genuine house of waters. The caves are here in a very big number, but each one has its own charm. Some of them are traversed by underground rivers, others are dry and you can even find glacier caves.

Location: They are placed in the western part of Romania and in the central part of the Western Carpathians, bordering with Metaliferi Mountains in south, Gilau Mountains in east, Codru-Moma Mountains in west and Plopis Mountains in north.
